I knew it. He originally intended for you to be able to play with the other characters like in NMH2. I thought only having one weapon seemed odd as well. So, those weren't deliberate omissions.

I didn't know he was close enough to Sakurai to have personal talks now. The last thing I remember about him and Sakurai was after NMH2 released. He said he suggested Sakurai put Travis in Smash. Then Sakurai laughed and walked off, and that was it. lol

He really seems to be have a boner for Miike Takashi. I've only ever seen one of his movies. This one about this dude who's like a editor or new staff person. He gets hit with a rock, then the guy who hit him moves into his house and starts messing around with his wife and daughter or some shit. His boss dies and he rapes her corpse or something like that. I can't remember the name of that one. I don't watch a lot of Japanese movies do to them being really, really slow and boring with some of the cheesiest writing.

Most of the better Japanese movies I've seen I'd classiffy more as *interesting* than entertaining. Like this one called "Splatter: Naked Blood" where this dude creates a medicine that turns pain into pleasure and replaces these experimental fertility drugs at his moms job with it. Then women who take end up mutilating themselves and eventually killing themselves from the pleasure that hurting themselves gives them. It was pretty fucked up. I was impressed by the effects though. Like when the woman was cooking and shoved her hand into the boiling cooking oil. Then she pulled it out and it was fried and crispy.

Ah, its on Youtube.

Seems Suda is serious about wanting Miike to do a No More Heroes movie, though.

EDIT: Fuck! They took down most of the OSTs for NMH3. I did find the vocal version of the trailer song, though.

After watching the final boss fight again, I realized there were a lot of mecha references in it. The statement Damon makes is from Gundam. Then he points in the sky and yells "Thunder Break" which is a reference to Great Mazinger. Then the Damon Tower transformation is a Super Dimensional Fortress Macross reference and Gunbuster.

But what the fuck is going on with the music. I remember the final round of Velvet Chair girl having different music altogether than the rest. Apparently, that was patched out and replaced with just an even faster version of the same song as the rest. Must be some licensing issues or something. Of course, you can't post it to Youtube, because it seems any attempt to post the music gets struck by lightning bots.

This guy also asks Suda about some of the plot points that they trimmed out of the game. I forget if anyone here liked it, but it might be interesting.
What's funny to me is that I realized this soyjack looking motherfucker is actually the same soyjack looking motherfucker who asked suda all sorts of 2deep4u questions about NMH2 which suda had no clue how to respond to back in 2010, LOL!

He also wrote that hilarous NMH2 analysis which posited that travis and the main villain were allegories for batman and the joker

the guy is dedicated. He must be No More Heroes' number one fan.

I completely missed this back when Suda released it, but it basically explains the red areas. The red areas of the map were all finished, but the game kept running into technical issues because of them. So, they had to be cut.

I remember that dude from that video where he asked Suda if NMH3 would be on the Wii U and Suda told him yes :( He is one of those hardcore fan theory fanatics.

is there a single "fan" who just admitted on YT "Yeah, this game sucks ass and is the most unfinished shit ever?"

EDIT: i did not watch this shit, but since it's fucking 4.5h i guess its some analysis where he explains how deep the game is

probably he does, but what else can we conclude, since all of the answers in those 3 different after release interviews, when suda just says it all.

It doesn't really matter, it's a feedback loop that sustains itself. Advertisers want their product to look good so they give review copies to people who they know will praise it, fanboys like to hear good things about the product they decided to project their entire identity on so those undercover marketers are the ones who get popular. There really isn't any incentive to shit on a new product if you're a career youtuber, unless you have a dedicated fanbase that gives you money for shitting on things (like every single star wars youtube channel which releases 4h breakdowns as per how self evident dogshit movies are, in fact, dogshit lol.)

What I think is funny is the use of inductive reasoning, which was considered outdated by 300 BC but has made a surprising comeback in recent years.
If No More Heroes 3 was the only videogame ever released by Grasshopper, noone would argue for it to have any deeper meaning at all. The idea that the game being shit is just a small cog in the complex allegorical mechanism only exists because 17 years ago they released Killer7 and there was a vague idea that the game had "depth" (although nobody actually knows what the fuck that word means in the context they use it in).
The conclusion is reached before any reasoning happens, that is to say, "the game is deep because Suda51 made it" so people start projecting allegories on whatever the fuck they want. Reasoning serves to justify the conclusion, rather than the other way around. Aristotle thought that was fucking retarded but what does he know. (I'm quoting him verbatim too. Aristotle said "No More Heroes fans are fucking retarded and should get laid, lol! LMAO!" with "lol" and "lmao" being enunciated verbally.)

The same exact thing happened when No More Heroes 2 came out, then most people came around and realized GHM was just going to make wacky action games going forward with the release of SotD and Lollipop Chainsaw.

I remember a user on our old forum made a joke about the overall journo attitude of reaching for meaning where there is none, I thought it was so funny I put it as a quote of enlightenment on the new website lol.
YES. I’m inspired. I found out the real meaning behind green watermelons, which is a matter that deserves much more attention than that given till now. People just don’t understand how smart and developed organisms watermelons really are. The Watermelon is an overlooked gem.
Yes, they are green. But not any kind of green you find in cucumbers or any other vegetable of that ilk.
A bunch of new fans latched onto GHM when they started re-releasing their more avant garde political stuff from the early 2000s, and I guess those fans are now in denial much like we all were in 2010.

Yeah they've been surprisingly open about how incomplete the game is.
Even if the game had been finished I don't think I would have been into it regardless, but it could at least have been an okay action game. I still think they made a mistake in trying to make a full fledged open world high-LOD game in 18 months. The finished product looks like an alpha build. I know you didn't like TSA either but that was at least a videogame that you played lol.

TSA indeed a game that you can finish and watch credits go by, can't argue with that.

On a bright side with recent news about upcoming current release of NMHIII, they say that "textures will load properly". I hope PS5 is capable enough to run the game in stable 30 fps (no hope for xbone, thats too much to ask), also despite my usual bad attitude towards modern ghm titles, I honestly do want to see NMHIII to run (maybe we'll see more than one car on streets of Santa Destroy, who knows, but perhaps we are asking too much of it). Physical Edition also looks interesting (some artbook will be cool to look at), maybe they'll even add some "behind-the-scenes" material, but we'll have to wait until fall for it to come out (if it's even comes out this year, oh man...).

I'm very familiar with this concept. I used to say that all the time back when I was into Silent Hill and used to frequent Silent Hill forums. It was especially bad with Silent Hill 2. People would just overanalyze the fuck out of everything in that game. They'd essentially create their own fanfiction then bug the developers until they confirmed whether or not is was true.

I didn't think about this at first, but realiized after seeing a comment someone made on a video about it. The reason Henry has so much power and doesn't die is because his "Third eye" is opened and it made him a being similar to Kamui and Emir Parkreiner. So, he's essentially some kind of demi god now.

I was just assuming he made some kind of pack with the devil or something before given what Damon sees him about and how he gives him the power to turn into a demon.

NMH 3 is out on all modern plaftorms starting from today (if you give a fuck).

It's the same shit, but better visuals and framerate. That's would be all.

On a side-note Deathverse: Let It Die is also already out on PS4-5 and Steam PC.

It's a free-to-die soulless battle royaler (if you give a fuck).

Lolichain remixster and Zero 4 Engurish prolly 2023, so no news on that front just yet.
