In my life, when I have seen that something is Korean, my instinct has been to begin running in the other direction. The flight response.

Unfortunately, my self-preservation efforts have become less feasible over the last few years.

Any weeaboo such as myself who uses the Netflix service will be familiar with the onslaught of garbage that comes as soon as you watch anything Japanese.

You like... Asian? Asian, right?

No matter how many times I "thumbs down" Korean programmes (and by the way, probably unlike you, I can spot when something is Korean just from a tiny thumbnail from across the room) they just keep coming.

This is, of course, only one small example at the small tip of the iceberg.

The opening to Yogurting so cool , I love it even now.

Obviously there's nothing wrong with that opening. In fact, it looks very nice indeed.
Koreans were used as manual labor by the Japanese to create wonderful games and anime throughout the 2000s, and Korean media was at it's best when aping Japanese sensibilities.
It is at it's nadir now as a funhouse mirror reflection of shartmerica, and has formed a feedback loop with Reiwa aesthetics.
