suggestions, well the background and banner look sick
if you can detonate the background for the forum itself to make it less accessible to posers it would be great
if not, that's your call, cheers

Forum currently uses "Carbon" theme for phpbb forum engine, which was adjusted a bit.
It can be downloaded here:
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/style/carbon_2
Not sure if it's possible to do much with it unless you already have a phpbb-based forum running, but e.g. in that archive there are all those default icons used on the forum.
What's wrong with you?

Sociologists observed, usually with a suggestion of disapproval, that working people seemed to have no ambition. According to Lloyd Warner, who studied Newburyport in the I930s, working-class housewives set the dominant tone of cultural conservatism. They adhered to a "rigid" and "conventional" code of morality and seldom dared to "attempt anything new." They took no interest in long-range goals. "Their hopes are basically centered around carrying on [and] take the form of not wanting their present routine disturbed—they want to continue as they are, but, while doing so, better their circumstances and gain more freedom."

To do things via this thread is an unacceptable condition.

Not only is it an impossible way to work, but even in the best case it would mean all the work falling on the shoulders of one person. This is a perfect method for sabotaging all efforts.
Perhaps you could suggest another venue which would allow for the same immediate communication and transferring of files as the popular goth chick software.

While I think your aversion to said software is probably healthy I think you should be more involved with the planned updates.
I also think you're right to be wary of random people who show up seemingly out of the blue.
If you feel things are being done behind your back then the only solution is to participate.

One solution I proposed (which is still inefficient) would be that you share copies of enough of the phBB files so that edits could be made offline.
In other words, this would be risk-free as the website's real files would remain untouched and nobody could access the sensitive stuff.
Proposed changes could then be reviewed from screenshots, etc.

Currently I am the only one who is heroically coming to your defense and attempting to reach diplomatic solutions.
The general consensus among others is that you should be forcefully removed from the station which has driven you mad with power and tied up in ropes and chains.

Added chat as experimental function.

Available at the bottom of main page and also on it's separate full version:
