Let it be said any movie where Salma Hayek isn't the best looking woman in the film is bound to be made pure of win. Hot principal, SCORE. Hot teacher, SCORE. Hot loner hottopic goth, SCORE. Hot Brazilian/Portuguese cheerleader Valedictorian babe, SCORE. Homerun baby and I didn't even mention the hot dainty Southern babe yet and well I suppose I won't.

 

 

AVATAR

Like I mentioned, there are some films that only come along once in a lifetime. THIS is that film. It is imperative that you see Avatar. It is unquestionably my favorite film of the year. James Cameron has done it again and thank GOD he will not be waiting 12 years to make his next film (his last theatrical film was Titanic in 1997...

 

DOOMSDAY

If you want action going from start to finish, this is the film to see. If you like films with guns, fistfights, explosions, even medieval combat with a knight, as well a fantastic car chase sequence reminiscent of The Road Warrior, then there is no reason for you not to ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FILM.

 

THE DARK KNIGHT

Christopher Nolan is a wonderful storyteller. This movie has such a deep and rich storyline, that if you didn't know of Batman as a superhero, you'd still love the film. The mystery of it, who's crooked and who isn't, it all adds up.

 

 

BOMB IT

One guy in Brazil went into the sewers because he was deeply depressed and went down into a depressing place to leave tags and works all over the walls. He ended up finding a family that lives in the sewers and that family now loves the art that the young man posts.

 

 

WALL.E

Since there's little dialogue, the only real thing to see is spectacle, and boy what a view!

 

 

 

 

INDIANA JONES And The KINGDOM Of The CRYSTAL SKULL

It brought back my feelings of the 80's and early 90's seeing the original films again. I got swept up in the adventure and just had a good time which is EXACTLY what the point is in the first place. Don't say this or that can or cannot happen. It's Indiana Jones!

 

CARRIE

This movie isn't filled so much with violence and killings so much as it is a story about a misunderstood girl just trying to find her place in life. This however is hard for her as she has a militant mother, who views anything that could have anything to do with sexuality as an unforgivable sin.

 

EPIC MOVIE

CASINO

Over the bordering on three hour length, the F-word is used an insane 422 times! I personally don't have any problem with that. I mean, it's a gangster film, of COURSE they're going to say the F-word all the time. I'm used to it. If you think you can see a modern gangster film without hearing the F-word, then you're going to be going on a LOOOOOOONG search

 

TRANSFORMERS

One of my favorite things was when the military uses the AllSpark to turn a cell phone into a mini Transformer. The guy is not even a foot tall but he's got a chain gun on his front and he's just trying to KILL KILL KILL. Oh man, I loved it. That was great.

 

ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN

The whole picture looks like some dream than a real picture of kung fu in actual China. Not that it looks fake. It just looks much more fantastic and beautiful than some random field does.

 

 

 

O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?

However even though I left Tennessee when I was ten, this film reminds me of home. So much more than almost any film I've seen I think. The Coen brothers must have REALLY either studied HARD about the South or grown up there because the characters in this film are FROM THE SOUTH.

 

TAE GUK GI

I thought the violence in Tae Guk Gi was even MORE extreme than that in Saving Private Ryan in fact! You might not be able to visualize that but I think it's even MORE violent in fact. 

 

 

 

SHALL WE DANCE

The best thing about this film is that it's about liberation and not some adulterous affair.

 

 

 

THE WARRIORS

a small group overcoming the odds against any and all persecution. I don't care if you hate all films before the year 2000 even (although if you do, you're an insane fool)!!! This film doesn't look dated. It is really great. Watch it or die.....like Puff Daddy.

 

PAN'S LABYRINTH

Well you pretty much see this little bitch dead at the begining of the fucking movie you fucking idiot. That's what I loved about Pan's Labyrinth. It didn't try to insert some absurd plot twist nor did it try to be deep.

 

 

 

 

THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT

Overall I wasn’t the biggest fan of the 70‘s The last house on the left but I knew I would hate the remake with the hated I reserve for hipsters and the entire cast of the jersey shore. I was wrong.

 

 

 

 

STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE

This movie will always be very important to me. I will treasure it always and I will pass this film down to my children so that they may eventually do the same.
